What do I need before doing a lesson?

  1. A current C Class Drivers Licence.

*Note you need to have held your C class licence for at least 1 year before sitting the MR Driving Assessment.

What are the steps I need to take to obtain my MR licence?

  1. Hold a C Class licence (Car – Manual or Automatic) continuously for a least one year prior to doing an MR test with the Department of Transport.

  2. Learn to drive our MR (Medium Rigid) Truck. You do not require a Learners Permit to have lessons.

  3. Complete an MR Driver’s Licence application form, take an eyesight test and pass the heavy vehicle theory test at the Department of Transport (Answer 10 questions with 8 out of 10 correct for a pass).

  4. Obtain your MR Learners Permit and receive your test entitlement.

  5. Book an appointment for a driving test date and time at the Department of Transport. We can do that for you.

  6. Pass the driving test.

*Note the earlier you apply for and gain your MR Learners Permit the sooner a test can be booked.

MR & HR Driver Training PERTH 

MR-B, HR-A or HR-B Class Licence Course.

An important note: our Heavy Rigid (HR) driving training is suited for those who want to drive a Heavy Rigid vehicle. A Heavy Rigid Vehicle is a motor vehicle that has 3 or more axles and a gross vehicle mass greater than 8,000 kg.

Requirements

Step 1. Obtain a learners permit for Class HR  from the Department of Transport WA.

A learners permit costs $143.30 and this covers your eye test, theory test and a HR driving assessment (Departmental Assessment / PDA).

Heavy Rigid LICENCE PERTH COURSE COST

The cost of Heavy Rigid A Class (HR-A Automatic Gear Box) training course is $1100

This includes
4 hours of training + Truck Use for Test/PDA

The cost of Heavy Rigid B Class (HR-B Synchro Gear Box) training course is $1100

This includes
4 hours of training + Truck use for Test/PDA

HR LICENCE DRIVING ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE

Customers will be scheduled in for training and their driving Test/PDA at a Department of Transport WA. The confirmed test time and location will be provided by our staff.

Practical assessments are conducted between Monday to Friday within the Department of Transport WA’s assessment hours. Enclosed shoes must be worn – no sandals or thongs. You must bring your learners permit and current drivers licence to the assessment.

Customers can conduct their HR (Heavy Rigid) driving test at one of the DOT truck assessment locations including, but not limited to Rockingham, Mandurah and Kelmscott.

Everyone receives a copy of their driving test score sheet. Students who pass will be required to pay for their new licence at the DOT.

Heavy Rigid Auto & Synchro Refreshers Course

Driving course for those who hold their Western Australian Heavy Rigid Class A or B Licence – Auto or Synchromesh and are looking to refresh their skills and knowledge of driving a Heavy Rigid A or B Class Licence.

Enrolment requirements
Valid and current WA HR-A or HR-B Class Licence

Refresher Truck Driver Training
1 on 1 training available across 7 days of the week. Customers must wear enclosed footwear and appropriate clothing.

Schedule
Win Win Truck Training schedules training dependent on availability and requirements. We have flexible training and we’re open 6 days.

Refresher Cost
Hourly rate of $175 per hour, minimum 2 hours booking.

Payment
Direct payment, cash and eftpos payments are accepted payment methods.
